SJC&GS has been in operation for almost twenty-two years (22) years. The company has grown steadily since its establishment in 2000 and has become one of Guyana’s largest construction companies.

We take our commitment to adapt to proactive Risk Assessment and Safety Management principles in all aspects of operation, seriously. In achieving this, we seek to:

To create and maintain a working environment that has adequate arrangements for the safety, health and welfare of all employees and the public in accordance with the Safety and Health Act, 1997 and its Regulations.
To apply safe working procedures and practices, and to act in conformity with appropriate Safety and Health Legislation, and the 1997 Act and its regulations with a commitment to review and update this policy annually as it becomes necessary.
To provide tools, equipment and plant and work systems that is free from health risk while ensuring that all employees are capable and has the knowledge to deal with accidents and emergencies.
To provide information and training necessary for the protection of the Health and Safety of employees and to encourage employees to report all accidents so as to limit recurrences.
